Woman Died Because She Was Denied Hospital Care
Friday night 15/11/2013 a 28 years old woman was brought to hospital in the afternoon, but was denied medical care and died a few hours later. According to her uncle, he was told that there was no doctor on duty and hadn't been for four months, because the staff hadn't been paid. The amount in question was 40.000 R$ per month, which is about the half in US currency. The relatives of the woman, who leaves behind a 12 years old son, will form a demonstration at the city hall next thursday. The residents of the city is said to be disgusted about the negligence - not quite clear if it is the negligence of the city to pay or the doctors to care (paid or not) or maybe both. |

Re: Woman Died Because She Was Denied Hospital Care
Doesn't sound like it was denied, it simply didn't exist at that facility. Why was it even open if there were no doctors for months? |
