Woman Cut into Pieces
I found this on a Kenyan news forum. This is not a new case (happened in August, 2016), but I don't remember seeing this on DR so I am posting it here. Please let me know if this has been shared before.  According to a Youtube video provided by Nairobi News, female body parts were discovered in a plastic bag in Umoja, Kenya. Some sources from Nigeria say the woman was another victim of a ritual group, but I am not sure about the authenticity. We have seen a few pictures of ritualists/herbalists' crime on DR or other forums, typically they would take specific parts of victims (heads, hearts, etc.) and dump the headless or heartless bodies on roadside. But in this case the victim's head and limbs were chopped off and disposed, it doesn't look like the way ritualists hunt their targets. Anyway that's just my guess...maybe some kind of herbal hunter just forgot his/her trophy bag. |

Interesting. Umoja is a village in Kenya, founded in 1990, is an all-female matriarch village as a sanctuary for homeless survivors of violence against women, and young girls running from forced marriages. The women of the Samburu people do not agree with violence and the traditional subordinate position of women. I wonder if the man this woman was running from caught up with her. |
