Another unlucky victim of Thailands traffic. The 54 years old woman collided yesterday on her motorcycle with a VW van, which was hardly damaged. She certainly was.

Could somebody explain to me, why they often cover the body with money?

maybe they put money found in their wallets on the victim and take pics as some sort of proof none was taken in case a relative claims the victim carried way more money and could start accusing them of theft.

Giving the image of the bike a second look, I think she was actually hit from behind by the van.

That was my assumption. As many deaths and "suicides" that happen there it may be one of the only rules that they follow.

happens often. car got too close to the rear wheel of a bike in front. when bumper and wheels meet, the bumper will go up the wheel in sync with the wheel's rotation. and topple the bike. even at slow speeds. the lady probably went under the car when it happened.
