32 year old woman suffering from depression ended her life with a rifle last week. Her husband claimed that she'd been threatening suicide so he took the only firearm in the house outside and discharged all of its ammunition into the trees. The wife apparently had a stash of cartridges hidden away somewhere because ten minutes after he replaced the empty rifle in the closet, he came in to find her dead on the floor.

Of course it is just as likely that he ended her himself and fabricated the story about suicide, but it seems the authorities are inclined to toss out Occam's razor in this case and have chosen to believe his rather convoluted tale of woe.
