Re: Woman Collapses Due To Heart Problem
Foam may be present in a variety of deaths such as electrocution, epilepsy and in certain poisonings such as morphine, cocaine, barbiturates and organophosphate poisoning. It is also seen in certain natural diseases, where the lungs get full of water (edema of the lungs). One of these natural diseases is heart failure. Edema of the lungs is very commonly seen in chronic heart failure patients, and this causes the froth to appear at the mouth. Hope this answers your question adequately! Re: Woman Collapses Due To Heart Problem
i just got cpr certified they no longer require you to breath in cuz they finally figured out that blowing carbon monoxide into a person's lungs doesnt actually keep them alive the heart massage does tho and it creates a vacuum |

Re: Woman Collapses Due To Heart Problem
Could have been CHF and she is aspirating out the fluid in her lungs. Oh and fun fact, you only need to breathe in 21% oxygen. That's what we breathe in normally in our "air". When we exhale we exhale enough O2 to restart the circulatory system with compressions. Honestly using a bag valve mask is the best, but there are portable masks you can buy the have a tube on the side that doesn't allow blow back or vomit to come up into your mouth. Just adding some nerdy health care info. |
