Woman Burned to Death After Chasing Cars Veered into a Gasoline Shop
Monday, 9 November 2015. Last night an apparent car chase in Phnom Penh, Cambodia ended with 1 woman burned to death after the vehicles veered into a small shop selling gasoline, which burst into flames. Police told the cause of the accident was still unclear, and authorities were investigating whether the husband of the woman – who was in the car’s passenger seat – had been driving at the time of the accident. The dead woman, 24, was identified but no relatives had come to claim her body yet. “For this case, we are evaluating it in order to find the root cause, so we cannot make a conclusion about this accident yet,” a police chief said. Authorities said that based on witness accounts of the accident, the 2007 Toyota Camry in which she had been riding was chasing another Camry when both vehicles veered into the small gasoline shop, which erupted in flames, engulfing her car. The witnesses said the car’s driver fled, leaving her behind, and that the fire was too intense to rescue her from the vehicle. The shophouse was also burned down in the ensuing blaze. |

Re: Woman Burned to Death After Chasing Cars Veered into a Gasoline Shop
Could she have died on impact or something? She doesn't look like she tried to move in anyway. Well...I hope that is the case. So she was the passenger and her husband was driving? He booked it when they crashed? That's real nice. Just ran away. Probably was a road rage incident, he couldn't just leave it alone. |
