I doubt they were shot in the head with an AK round (7.62x39mm). If they had been shot with an AK, their heads would be split wide open. I'll bet they were shot with multiple rounds from a plain old .22LR.

You might be right - I don't know anything about rifles, just that it's best to stay away from them, and if that's not possible, then to be behind them, not in front of them
