So this is a pretty fucked up story.

This fella, married to the woman here and step-father to her two children, was by multiple accounts (from family and neighbors) a good husband and supportive father with one single, dark exception. He had a strange, jealous, overbearing obsession with the younger stepdaughter. None of the articles were clear about how sexualized the obsession was, though they all seemed to agree that he had never molested or had sex with the girl. He was just very possessive and jealous about her time and her behavior.

So the fifteen year old girl strikes up a relationship with a new boyfriend and posts about it all over Facebook. A few days later, she and step-dad have a confrontation that ends poorly, so she (under mother's advice) goes to spend a few days with her aunt while the old man cools down.

So last Friday, step-dad gives his credit card to the older daughter and told her to go out and have a good time with no limit. Ostensibly it was a reward for her good grades. But apparently it was because he intended to have some sort of confrontation and wanted the 'good daughter' gone while it happened.

Unfortunately for all involved, the younger daughter had stopped by for a few hours in the evening instead of hiding out at the aunt's. She was watching television while the mother was sleeping in the other room when step-dad showed up to confront her once again about the boyfriend.

No solid account of what that conversation entailed, but it ended with step-dad grabbing a knife and going after the girl. She started screaming in terror and begging for her life, which woke mom up in the other room. mom runs into the girl's bedroom just in time to see step-dad slashing her throat. So he turns the knife on his wife as well. Left both of them dead on the floor and fled.

Neighbors said that they heard the screams, but though it was drunks fighting in the street and didn't get involved.

Bodies were discovered by the older daughter when she got home late at night. She called her step-father to try and make sense of the situation and he told her "I did something really really stupid."

He went on the lam, but his face was plastered all over town on tv and internet, so he was scared to be seen. He was found three days later, wandering the streets delirious with hunger and thirst (he was too scared to be seen ordering food or drink somewhere) and was apprehended by the police. When they took him in he was so weak that he could barely stand and kept fainting.

well she does dress skimpy and probably its making the step dad crazy seeing all that and not being able to get it. She is not the biological father after all. not that i am blaming the girl. just sort of trying to figure out the reason why it came to this.

In fairness, those little shorts may well be her underpants, since she was attacked late at night in her bedroom. They're extremely small and I'm pretty sure from the photo it appears she isn't wearing anything under them. Most of the photos I have of her (including the selfie posted here) have her dressed fairly conservatively in long skirts and blouses and such. Given how teen girls in Brazil usually dress in photos on here, she was extremely reserved.

Not saying you're wrong, necessarily. But who knows what all factors may have been at play.

not arguing. just trying to see the bottom of this. story says she was sent to her aunt to let things cool down. then she "stopped by" for a few hours which to me means she was from outside and dropped by for a few hours. you're probably right though. just something went wrong with the translation or something... like the word "expertise" translator gives when it clearly means "experts" or something.
