Protcol says that the monitor must show asystole in three leads in order to pronounce.

Also brain death in not cardiac death. Some places consider brain death the legal TOD even though there is still blood pressure and perhaps a hearbeat. Others say it´s cardiac death. This was an issue at some point concerning harvesting hearts at the time of brain death for donation.
