White Phosphorus Victims
"White phosphorus kills indiscriminately." The U.S. Marines in Baghdad described white phosphorus as a "conventional munition" used primarily for smoke screens and target marking. It is also used as a chemical weapon. Skin burns away to the bone but clothing remains unscathed - white phosphorus reacts with water, i.e. human skin. "Phosphorus burns bodies, in fact it melts the flesh all the way down to the bone ... I saw the burned bodies of women and children. Phosphorus explodes and forms a cloud.
