Re: Wealthy Kidnapped Student Found Dead on Country Road
I don't disagree with you, but I'm not talking about this site apart from the question raised by a user. I'm talking about the brazillian media, and from my experience with finding stuff for this site, it makes hell of a difference to them, from which end of the society you come. Like it or not, but that is also reality. I'm sure that they would love to cover violent death by the wealthy and famous too, but usually they cannot or dare not. Remember Kelly Ciclone and the images and videos from the morgue? They raised hell. Had she been a druguser living in a shack, nobody would have cared. Even if she dated a traficker (as far as I remember), she was still famous, and her family got the leak investigated. I don't know, if they ever came to a conclusion, but a poor family would never have made it so far as to the investigation. I repeat: It has nothing to do with this site or the posters here. We post, what we can find. There are just things that we usually can't find - images of a wealthy merchants daughter for example. And as this is Southamerica, most of the (small) population of european descent are in a position where they usually can keep their corpses out of the papers and away from the internet. |

Re: Wealthy Kidnapped Student Found Dead on Country Road
I see your point here, excuse my rather blunt anwere to you, but white people in Brasil and probably throughout South-America live in closed rural areas with guards, so maybe they have a better statistic when it comes to "accidents" like this. They dont tend to be out at late nights, avoids dangerous ares, etc, but i clearly see the logic in your resonnement. |
