War Between BOPE and Drug Traffickers.
Rio de Janeiro..... Yesterday the bodies of 7 drug traffickers were found at the side of a swamp, allegedly murdered by BOPE (Special Operations Battalion). The dead were without personal objects or weapons and some were without clothes. "The problem is the way the killings took place. They were traffickers, but that does not justify having been shot dead and stabbed," a pastor told. Among the victims is his son, 22, who was part of the criminal faction Comando Vermelho. According to unofficial information, there are already 11 traffickers killed and 12 shot, in addition to the following seized weapons: an AK-47 rifle, an AR-15 and two pistols, as well as three communicating radios and drugs. The night before, four military police officers died when a military police helicopter crashed in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The aircraft crashed during a gunshot exchange with criminals. The PM helicopter was supporting a police operation in the region to try to end a confrontation between criminals.                |
