Re: Vintage Bomb Exploded
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() At least four people were killed and eight others were injured in a bomb explosion in Lower Bicutan, Taguig City on Wednesday afternoon, the city investigation chief said. In a phone interview with GMA News Online, Chief Inspector Benny Basilio Jr. said the blast happened at around 2:30 p.m. at the corner of Daisy and Caldozo Streets in Lower Bicutan, where two people died on the spot, including a member of the police’s Station Action Force (SAF). Basilio said the type of bomb has yet to be identified because investigation is still ongoing, but he said that there might have been efforts to defuse it, causing its explosion. “Siguro ginagalaw ‘yung bomba kaya sumabog. Usually ganu’n. Hindi naman sasabog ‘yun kung hindi ginalaw,” he said. However, according to National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Alan Purisima, the explosion occurred in Purok 6 in Upper Bicutan. Purisima said that on Wednesday morning, three personnel of the SAF brought an identified bomb to an iron shop to defuse it. Unsuccessful in defusing the bomb with a wrench, an iron works boy used a welding machine that caused the explosion. ---Damn how clever our police are.. |
