In a hamlet in Bến Tre province, a man murdered his wife by dousing her with gasoline and setting her alight. Afterwards, the man attempted to kill himself via the same method, but he was found alive and was taken to hospital.

Rumours on social media claimed that the man had found that his wife was unfaithful, but no official reason has been disclosed.




In Lào Cai province, a severely decomposed corpse was found lying on a mattress inside the third floor of a townhouse. The corpse had been virtually reduced to a skeleton.

A photo of the man was found at the scene, with the letters "NTB" written on the back, but no ID papers were located. His phone indicated that he had last took a call around the Lunar New Year (10th February).

(I couldn't find any mention about how the corpse appeared to be decapitated.)





In Sơn La province, a father, 82-year-old Đinh Công Ph. stabbed his son, 50-year-old Đinh Công Định, to death. The elderly father apparently had had a drunken argument with his son over a "land dispute" (this hasn't been confirmed) before pulling out a knife and stabbing him. The victim died in hospital.

To make matters worse, the victim's sister-in-law was travelling to hospital to attend to him when she was involved in a fatal traffic accident.



In Sơn La province, a villager went by the house of Mr. D.V.H. (born 1982) to ask for drinking water when he found H. and his wife, D.T.P. (born 1985), had been stabbed. H. was dead, but his wife was taken to hospital in critical condition. What exactly transpired in that house remains under investigation.

Skulls will naturally detach with decomposition. The skull is just not very securely attached to the rest of the body. I know of several cases where peoples skull was pulled off their spine, but they survived, with no paralysis or other problems, and the surgeons put the skull back in place successfully. (A assume they used a nail gun, but really don't know the procedure.)

You brought back memories of my hacky-sack playing days in the 80’s. I was pretty good except I couldn’t hit the hacky-sack with the side of my foot.
