That metal framing around the windows made the classroom a prison cell for the girl. She was able to break out the glass, and she pushed curtains and other items outside through the metal frames. She was trying to get out and/or attract attention.

I don't know about anyone else, but I don't think this is true. She was only in there for 17 days? She didn't starve to death in 17 days unless she had no water source. You can drink water for a month before you even have a chance to die of starvation. She did't get that skinny going without food for 17 days unless she in that condition before she go locked up. And who put the thing on her face? And why is there no insect evidence around the body? To many things just don't add up. Not saying it isn't true, just doesn't seem right.
