The ignorance is strong with this one. This is in Cancún. High end escorts can make $50K a night in "hotels" like this one. Americans are so painfully ignorant of how it is in México these days. They get their impressions from movies that were old when "Red Dawn" was a thing. And condescending politicians who lump all people south of the border into one homogenous group of poor downtrodden "Hispanics." Most of México is peaceful and no less prosperous than a medium-sized American city. Parts are wealthy beyond anything you will find in the States. The USA has long ceased to be the golden city of light on a hill. People seeking thrills and glamour don't go to Vegas or Miami anymore.
