Re: USA - Plano Man, 20, Dies by Overdose in Texas Heroin Massacre (1997)
This was similar to what happened when Janis Joplin died. She was the most famous, but there were dozens of deaths in both L.A. and San Francisco that were linked to exceptionally pure heroin being distributed, and it caused quite a stir at the time. Nowadays, the numbers are not even out of the ordinary. But to me, drug use is kind of like suicide. It's something you do to yourself, so I guess you have to accept the consequences. In the article, the father says he wants the people "responsible" for the death of his son. I wonder if he put any of the blame on his son? That, to me, would be where the primary responsibility lies. |

So, don't read it. Or, if you can't understand it, read it louder. I LOVE backstory on these posts. The more detail, the better. That way you really know what happened. People who don't care can skip over it. |
