The drivers get their route packages and when they are finished they are done for the day. That explains why you see drivers running to locations and driving fast. Never seen a driver without his seatbelt on in my experience. Glad he survived.

I've been with UPS for years. I seriously doubt we have any center that would allow drivers to drive around with no seatbelts. I've seen drivers get into trouble for not applying their parking brake at red lights, so I SERIOUSLY doubt "those UPS drivers" never have their seatbelts on.

And if only it actually worked like that. We finish our routes and are then asked to go do help someone else finish their route. Less than a 12 hour day is special.
