Unidentified Decedent Morgue Photos From NamUs and the Doe Network (Pt 1)
NamUs, the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, is the United States national database for missing, unidentified and unclaimed people and is operated by the National Institute of Justice. Its public case records contain photographs of unidentified decedents so they may be recognized. The Doe Network is an international volunteer organization handling missing and unidentified persons cases and referring possible matches to investigating agencies. In these cases, the causes of death were the usual ones involving unidentified remains: exposure, suicide and road accidents. None had been identified or claimed when their case files were published. |
