Yesterday, a 62 year old male, known as Uncle Tom, was found dead in his apartment after neighbours broke in. He had not been seen since Sunday 7th, but the neighbours waited a few days, before noticing a rotten stench emanating from his apartment. They broke in and found his body on the floor, with 3 stab wounds.

*edit* I just came across a different article that states the victim was homosexual and that could be a reason behind the murder.
