Ukrainian Girl Dies from Sulfuric Acid Attack

Kateryna G. was attacked at the entrance to her home on July 31 of 2018. Her agressors put 1 liter of sulfuric acid on her head and body and flew away.

The poor girl died a few weeks ago on november 4th. She fought for her life for more than three months. She was burned to 35% of the body and in the last 50 days she underwent 11 operations to remove dead tissue before undergoing skin grafting. The cause of her death would be a heart attack.

Who was she ? This ukrainian girl became a political activist at 18. She actively participated in the Orange Revolution, and, after that, she provided assistance to displaced people in the Kherson region where she lived. At the same time, she worked as an assistant at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in the same region. For years, she opposed pro-Russian forces and influence in the region.

It was already very dangerous, but in 2012, she became co-founder of a Journalism Agency. The journalists who work for this agency are the only ones in the Kherson media who investigate on public budgets and expenditures, and the corruption of political leaders and cops (anti-russian, but rotten as well.)

In 2017, she accused Artyom Antochtchuk, chief of the Economic Protection Department of the Kherson National Police, of corruption and extortion and virtually forced him to resign.

And a few months later, she was attacked with acid.

I must say i have quite a strong stomach and have seen quite a lot of terrible pics, but when i see these ones and try to think about what this poor girl went through, it makes me shrink…

At this moment, six men were arrested for perpetrating the attack, but we still don't know who were the bastards who paid them...
