Not quite. But reasonably close. Police have confirmed that she was one of the subjects of an ongoing drug investigation and had been using the Uber cover to run drugs to the coast for at least 4 months.

At this point it is being investigated as a trafficking-related execution.

Evidence discovered in the car has led them to believe that she was garroted from behind while sitting in the driver's seat . They did not specify what led them to that conclusion, but based on the photos, my guess would be that she left some urine on the seat when she voided her bladder.

No idea why her shoes are on the floorboards. Maybe she took them off to be more comfortable while driving, maybe she kicked them off during the assault. Also not sure why they drug her body into the back seat, but no further explanation was given.

This case has finally been solved.

Four people, an adult man, two adult women, and a teenage boy, have been arrested in her murder.

As I mentioned earlier, she had been suspected of using the Uber car for drug trafficking, which turned out to be true. She was muleing for a drug gang as far as 200km away from her home location.

Unfortunately for her, she was fucking stupid, even for a Brazilian drug-runner.

She had apparently been discussing one of her shipments in a local Whatsapp chatroom.

Someone else in the chatroom figured out who she was (it isn't very hard) and concocted some scheme to rob the drugs and kill her. I'm not entirely sure how the knew she had the drugs IN the car at the time. My understanding was that she kept them in a secret compartment under the seat all of the time, which is somehow even more stupid.

Anyway, the plan was conceived by this guy and his girlfriend and their teenage friend/relative. I think it was the man's nephew. Possibly his little brother. The verbiage was unclear. The man was sitting out while the woman and the teenager (they figured those two would be less suspicious) were to go along and rob her.

There was another adult woman arrested at the same time for her role, but whatever her role, it was very unclear. She definitely was not along for the kill.

They scheduled an Uber ride very near to her house late at night to make sure that she'd get the call, then they had her drive them a long ways out of town. Once they were completely isolated, the kid claimed he had to take a leak, so she pulled over in a field by the road.

Of course, these idiot robbers had two major problems. One, they had never actually killed anyone before. Apparently the man had, but he was't there. Secondly, and somewhat related to the first, they didn't bring guns or knives, but instead tried to garrote the woman from the back seat.

Once she pulled over, the female robber took out a length of metal wire and wrapped it around the driver's throat and started to strangle her. Unfortunately, she had no idea how difficult the process would be.

The driver struggled HARD, which apparently prolonged the process. The kid said in his testimony that she was pounding on the horn and thrashing around and kicked so much that her shoes came off. The idiot woman robber didn't bring any gloves, so after a minute or two of struggling, the metal wire garrote had cut several of her fingers and had to switch places with the teenager and let him finish the job.

The older woman leaned forward to try to hold the driver still while the teen pulled on the wire. In the process, she apparently dripped blood from her lacerated fingers all over the passenger seat, which was why they tried to burn away the bloodstains when they were done.

Anyway, neither killer seemed to recount exactly how long the whole process took when giving their statements. The woman did not provide much detail, but the teenager apparently sang like a canary. He said that the whole process was horrible and he had much regret about it. He stated that she took forever to die and fought more than he thought. His testimony said that he only knew she was dead when she pissed and shit in her pants, because the older guy had warned them that would happen. But that even then, she still made a rasping noise in her throat when they went to move her to the back seat so they could look for the drugs. He allegedly finished her off with his hands and then they took the drugs, tried to burn the bloodstains, and bailed.

Idiots still had some of her jewelry and her ID cards when the cops raided her house a month later. They're probably lucky it was the cops and not the gang the drugs belonged to.

That said, they'll probably get chiv'd in prison all the same.

As said in another thread if you know what you’re doing with a garrote it’s simple and quite quick but if you don’t it is a long horrible process stupid or not this woman didn’t have an easy go of passing over
