This is a mother and daughter (10) that were riding a bicycle around 4.30 PM in the street when they were run over by the rear wheels of a dump truck carrying landfill. The driver (36) went out to see if he could provide any help but it was all too late. People called the ambulance and already started gathering for some lynching but a car driven by a municipal guard was near-by and "saved" the driver from worse. Driver told he never had a bad accident like this in the past 10 years he drives a dump truck and didn't notice the two on their bicycle. He will be indicted for manslaughter with no intention to kill. Angry with the fatal accident, residents sealed off the street in both directions, burning sticks and tires. The population claims more traffic safety area. The husband and father of the woman and girl arrived soon after at the accident scene and stayed next to their bodies and wasn't able to speak ( didn't want probably) to journalists. Multiple witnesses told that it wasn't the driver's fault but a parked private car took off from next to the road scaring the two on the bicycle so they steered their bicycle to the other lane where the dump truck just passed. pretty sad to lose your family like that. |
