Two women shot to death in Quezon, two armed men arrested
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Two women were killed by two suspects inside their house at Sitio Laluses, Barangay Talisay, Tiaong, Quezon last Tuesday night [November 29, 2022].
J.P.T., 28, and her roommate L.S.C. were inside their boarding house when two armed men came in and, without known motive, shot several times into their bodies that resulted in their instant deaths, according to Lt. Col. Marlon Cabataña, chief of Tiaong police.
Armed men fled using white sedan en route to San Pablo City, Laguna after the attack. Investigators immediately investigated possible witnesses to the crime and checked CCTV footage for possible identities of the suspects and route in their escape.
"We identified the suspects' getaway car, a white Toyota Altis with the plate number XKY 347 with the help of witnesses and review of CCTV footage," Cabataña said.
In a hot pursuit operation, D.C.D.G., 39, car driver, and gunmen R.A.M., 44, and T.G.L., 64, residents of Tiaong, Quezon, were arrested in Barangay Kaybagal North, Tagaytay City, Cavite shortly after the crime.
Glock 40 pistol, colt gold moddel caliber .45 and getaway car were recovered from the suspects. Love triangle and jealousy are considered motives for the killings, Cabataña said.
L.S.C.'s relatives revealed that she has prohibited relationship with a businessman named T.G.L. who lived in Tagaytay City, Cavite.
"T.G.L. got jealous when he knew that L.S.C. has another man, and he revealed that L.S.C. spent millions of pesos and properties he entrusted," Cabataña added.

3 Suspects in the Killing of 2 Women, Arrested in Hot Pursuit Operations by Tiaong Police
Camp BGen Vicente P Lim- In less than 24 hours, Tiaong police have arrested four suspects in connection with the shooting in Brgy. Lalig, Tiaong, Quezon that claimed the lives of two female victims.
Tiaong Municipal Police Station identified the victims as L.S.C., resident of Brgy. San Juan, Tiaong, Quezon and J.P.T., 28, resident of Brgy. Lalig, Tiaong, Quezon.
On the night of the incident on November 29, victims were reportedly inside the house of J.P.T. when the suspects arrived and shot the victims several times that resulted in their instantaneous death.
Tiaong Police immediately acted and after a quick interview with the witnesses, probers reviewed CCTV footages starting from the place of incident and were able to identify the get-away vehicle of the suspects. Following several CCTV footages taken along the route of the suspects, probers were finally led to the house of one of the suspects, T.G.L., in Brgy. Kaybagal North, Tagaytay City. A massive manhunt was launched and led in the successful arrest of the suspects on the morning of November 30, 2022.
Suspects were identified as D.C.D.G., 39, driver of the getaway vehicle; R.A.M., 44, gunman; T.G.L., 64, businessman, also the gunman. R.A.M. was previously arrested for violation of RA 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms).
Recovered from the suspects were the two pistols that they have used by in the shooting, as follows: a Glock .40 Gen 4 pistol with one magazine and seven live ammunitions and a Colt Gold Cup Trophy Model cal .45 with also with one magazine and four live ammunition. The white Toyota Altis that was used in the crime was also taken in police custody.
Regional Director, PBGEN Jose Melencio C Nartatez said the quick response of police officers from Tiaong MPS has left no stones unturned and made sure that suspects will be collared in less than a day after the shooting incident. “Hanga ako sa galing at sipag ng ating mga pulis sa Tiaong MPS dahil nahuli agad ang mga suspek na ito sa loob lamang ng ilang oras matapos ang pamamaril,” [I'm proud of our police's efforts and hardwork at Tiaong MPS because we caught the suspects within hours after the shooting.] the Director said.
Initial report of Tiaong Police revealed that the incident is a crime of passion with jealousy as a motive. Suspect T.G.L. admitted to investigators that he had an affair with victim L.S.C. and that he got enraged after learning that L.S.C. was involved with other men. T.G.L. also said that he felt betrayed after allegedly spending millions and even entrusting some of his properties to the victim.
Suspects are now under the custody of Tiaong MPS for further investigation and also for the filing of appropriate charges against them.
