At least two attackers were killed during the afternoon of Tuesday, September 09, 2014. An armed police with Afonso and region,when out of a thicket confrontation and exchanged gunfire with police. The two robbers, 32 years old, native of Pedro , and was accused of various robberies of post offices in town in the mid west RN,and his accomplice with an extensive criminal record.
The robbers were still driven to hospital Afonso, but did not resist the severity of injuries and died. Besides the two dead elements, over 04 people suspected of being members of the gang were arrested, and two cars and a motorcycle were seized.
According to police, the gang was articulating to rob the post office Afonso, and the police were on standby, waiting for the right moment to arrest the robbers .
The bodies of evidence was examined in ITEP at Christmas. The Civil Police will listen to other people, including a woman , companion of one of the gang members.
