Re: Two Military Pilots Killed in a Helicopter Induced Propeller Accident
The explanation is flawed. This type of accident occasionally occurs with helicopters with wheels and pneumatic struts. That is the reason skids are preferred for rotorcraft design. The oscillation is induced due to poor strut maintenance. |

And I absolutely enjoy viewing your efforts. Huge contributions from you and Simone. Thank you everyone who contributes and keeps me coming back for more. Probably sounds sick but I am totally fascinated by death and it’s many facets. |

Re: Two Military Pilots Killed in a Helicopter Induced Propeller Accident
The problem with the oleo struts is called planar oscillation . It can be due to improper servicing of the struts, or something as simple as improper tire inflation. |

Re: Two Military Pilots Killed in a Helicopter Induced Propeller Accident
Maybe it's me, but I do not understand how the Luftwaffe still uses the logo they had from 1939 - 1945. Yeah, they were Luftwaffe and not Nazi party members, yadda yadda. Yeah, the logo predated Hitler. I get it. But still. They took the Confederate flag off the Louisiana state flag the other day for a reason.

Re: Two Military Pilots Killed in a Helicopter Induced Propeller Accident
How does one inhale blood when the head is missing? Isn't a brainstem necessary to the process of drawing breath?

Re: Two Military Pilots Killed in a Helicopter Induced Propeller Accident
More likely the blood ran into the lungs after decapitation which would still be called inhalation since that's where it was found. Then again the event could have happened so quickly that they were still mid-inhalation while being decapitated. |
