In Cesar Department, on the 7th, three people were shot dead by hitmen in the town of Zapatosa. The hitmen arrived in a white van and shot indiscriminately at the victims. The deceased were identified as:

A 43-year-old bystander was hit by a stray bullet, and is reported to be recovering in hospital.

It has been reported that Y. had been accused of murdering his newborn stepson in 2021. Meanwhile, C. had been released from prison two months ago, after being convicted for bodily harm, illegal possession of a weapon, theft, drug possession, and escaping from prison. He had also possessed several false identities.
