Two Dismembered Men, One Face Skinned, in Manzanillo, Mexico, July 25, 2017
Two dismembered and mutilated men were found inside a house in Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico, on July 25, 2017. One victim's head had been completely skinned, removing the face. The other had been decapitated, with his severed head placed on his torso and his severed penis placed in his mouth. The victims were described as police officers from Tecoman. Accounts differed over whether they served with the municipal police or the Colima state prosecutor's office. Two handwritten narco-messages left with the bodies accused the men of corruption and of selling and leaking photographs of detainees to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. The messages were signed by the Sinaloa Cartel and invoked its armed wing, La Barredora.      |
