Twinge From Herniated Disc Causes Man To Drown
On February 11th in Brazil, a 40yo man drowned during family time at the local lake. His female companion suggested the victim, herself and the victim's brother go to the lake "for fun". Alcohol was consumed and soon the victim decided to dive in the water. Time passed and he didn't resurface. His brother, pissed and panicky, jumped in only to find him lifeless. He tried to perform mouth-to-mouth resus but failed and ran off to get help. The victim often drank and was used to swimming at the location. His herniated disc in his back may have been the contributing factor to him drowning. Glad they found his flop-flap. |

Re: Twinge From Herniated Disc Causes Man To Drown
I've got three slipped discs in my back, and at times when walking up the stairs I've been frozen because I just can't move because of the pain. That's me never going swimming again. Poor bugger.

Cool x rays, thanks for sharing. You should post them in the medical section Do your broken screws hurt? My left big toe is screwed but the fusion has failed and there is haloing around the screw heads - they've loosened and it hurts. On the waiting list for a right good screwing. |

Re: Twinge From Herniated Disc Causes Man To Drown
well..i was at work as a plumber, working for my father.i was late to meet the woman id asked to marry me (BIG BIG mistake)and i was running with a big box of tools,i was heading upstairs to put this box in a lockup that was in an upstairs closet.i tripped on a extension cord and fell on the bottom area of the stairs.i fell on the box which had a 1/2" drive ridged whole hog drill motor with a 18"x1/8" drill chucked up.it hit me center of my chest and i thought for sure it was going to be sticking out of my back..it only went in about a half inch, but i had put both hands on a step to push off,as i did,,my right wrist broke, and my left hand pushed me off and to the right, which made me hit the corner of the wall...hallway and stairs wall..it bent me in half and blew all the discs from L2 to S1 out...i went from a bit over 6'5" to 6'3" and a bit,in less than a second.the L3 vert was deformed as it was from spondyolithisis ,and one of the facett wings was broken off when i fell..i guess it had been weakend over the years...i also was born with degenritive disc disease, and thats why the discs just blew apart, they were so damaged already they just went KABLOOIE !!!!!...ive been told there is so much damage from c1 on down to L2 now due to the DDD and spondyo that they wont/wouldnt do any more for it.or for me.
