Turkish Airstrike on Zergele Village, Qandil, Iraq, August 1, 2015

Turkish warplanes hit Zergele, also spelled Zargele, in the Qandil Mountains of the Kurdistan Region of northern Iraq during the early hours of August 1, 2015, as part of the air campaign Turkey began against PKK positions in late July 2015. Airwars lists the attack as incident TI002. Reported casualty totals vary: Amnesty International, which visited about three days afterward, said 8 residents were killed and at least 8 were injured, including a child. Rudaw put the figures at 10 dead and 11 injured, Bianet reported 10 killed, including a pregnant woman, and 15 wounded, while Alsumaria reported 8 killed and 10 injured.

Amnesty International said those killed included a local mayor and two municipality workers. It said none of the dead or injured were PKK-affiliated, found no PKK weapons or military positions near the village, and described the strike as unlawful. The Turkish General Staff said Zergele was a PKK shelter rather than a village, with no civilian settlements nearby. Airwars records no civilian casualties conceded by the Turkish side. The Turkish Foreign Ministry said it was investigating and expressed regret. No source identifies the aircraft type, leaving the F-16 claim unconfirmed, and no report gives a toll of 9.

Re: Turkish Airstrike on Zergele Village, Qandil, Iraq, August 1, 2015

Just an excuse to massacre the Kurds while "pretending" to be fighting ISIS

It has been the Kurds who have taken the fight to ISIS and now they are being massacred by the Turkish Government

As 1 headline states:

Turkey Supports ISIS. … Now Declares “War Against ISIS”, But Instead Bombs Its Political Rival, Which Is the Most Effective Force Fighting ISIS

Smoke & mirrors anyone

I'd heard on the news that Turkey had scrambled its fighter jets to help fight ISIS, a recent development. was this collateral? it's really sad. these guys don't look like terrorists, they look like regular peeps.

Turkey is behind ISIS.

The Kurds were gaining ground against ISIS and becoming a globally recognized legitimate political force and movement.

Erdogan the mad moo slum wannabe Caliph wants to destroy all that.

Hopefully, Turkey will fall and be divided up so that the Kurds get their homeland and the ISIStanbul Terror Central will be eliminated.

ISIS is truly the product of the Sunni and Shia divide. They're just more cohesive and have a name now.
