I saw an accident much like that. A little girl was hit by a car; she survived but was pretty banged up. She'd ridden her bike in front of a guy driving down the street and he couldn't stop in time. The poor guy was sitting under a nearby tree crying. No amount of explaining would get him to believe it was an accident and no one's fault.
