At about 1:45 a.m. on April 12, 2013, a speeding Toyota Vios left its lane and struck a tree beside Phahonyothin Road in Mueang Phayao district, Phayao province, Thailand. A 32 year old woman driving the vehicle and her boyfriend were killed at the scene. The collision separated the engine from the car, sending it about ten meters away. Police found about twenty meters of skid marks and blamed speed for the crash. The location was about 500 meters from a highway police checkpoint operating for the Songkran holiday road safety campaign.

The incident was just 500 meters from the Phayao Highway Police Station checkpoint. On the up side police found a red brown Toyota Vios sedan, that was crashed and smashed onto the side of the road. The car body was pressed against the tree bent and folded into a U shape The head of the engine side was knocked off, turned upside down, 10 meters away from the car body parts being scattered on the road

Inspection of the car showed the body of a young woman and young man, both dead. They were both stuffed with trees. Therefore, the rescue team that has equipment to help cut the bodies from the car to bring out the bodies. It took about 30 minutes to take the young woman's body from the car. Along with a young man who's head was split like a watermelon could cut the halves

From checking the documents in the car, the name of the deceased was known as Miss P. J. M, 32 years old and Mr. R. B, her boyfriend.

Investigating the deceased relatives know that she worked in Bangkok. Brought his boyfriend to make merit for his father in his hometown according to Songkran tradition After making merit for father on April 11, 2013, and in the evening they both left home to travel in Phayao city

Initially, the police assumed that both of them probably visited the entertainment venues in the city of Phayao.
