Nah you can eat Ambien like candy and still live, unless there is some other substance in the mix. Since this was in Cambodia i'm thinking he probably took barbiturates.

Hey kids, just for future reference, putting him on a mattress for CPR was exactly the wrong thing to do. To do CPR you need the victim on a hard surface, or at least one that isn't soft like a bed or mattress. The sand would have been much better.

That's a good question. I can't think of any reason why there would be blood present at a sleeping pill OD. Death by benzos, barbiturates and opioids don't cause any sort of bleeding. OD by amphetamines? I doubt it, but maybe, because they can increase BP to dangerous levels that could have caused a hemorrhagic stroke, which can produce external blood. But if I were a cop, I'd open an investigation on that guy and call for an autopsy. |

Barbituate overdose deaths do cause bleeding of the airway. Judy Garland died from barbituates - where her husband was able to enter the bathroom he moved her body slightly (she was on the toilet) and blood poured from her nose and mouth.

The poor guy dying unexpectedly at the age of 70 could have been me or any of us. Enjoying all the Southeastern Paradise had to offer, cheap housing, cheap drinks and drugs, and cheap women and young tender men who will do almost anything for a few dollars. They look at us aging males as white Kings to be worshiped. Rest in Peace |
