Car had a head on collision with a truck....car lost.

Romania, An Opel Vectra whith six young people all under 30 years old hit a truck on the 581 Tuesday morning at 4.30, 12-07-2006.
The accident, the worst in recent years, occured in a dangerous curve, near the village Cosmeşti Galati.

Six youngsters from Tecuci, had left the a party at the disco in Vrancea Doaga village, where they spent the whole night.

After they crossed the bridge over the Siren on the way home, Victor Bacalu (26), the license holder since 1999, tried to bypass a column of cars in a dangerous curve at the exit of the village Cosmeşti .

After overtaking more than two trucks, the driver came in front of a truck that could not avoid him and hit the car head-on.

The impact was so strong that the Vectra bounced and rolled over several times.

Victor Bacalu (26), Catalin Cristea (22), Dorin Rotaru (25), Nicusor Azoitei (26), Valeriu Pocris (27), all unemployed, and Dumitru Nelepcu (24), a police officer from Tecuci died instantly.

Upon arriving of ambulances, medical attendants could not find all the six youngsters right away..

The car is 90% destroyed.

From the first research results that the young driver, Victor Bacalu, has been detained last year for drunk driving a car.

Police were surprised when, after a firefighters unit managed to remove the corpses of some twisted bodies, they recognized the lifeless body of their colleague Demetrius Nelepcu.

The truck driver who hit the front of the car, still a young man of 26 years, was shocked after he saw the tragic aftermath of the accident.

That is a tragic sight. I've seen something like this once in real life, before the cops covered the bodies. Made me a little nauseated. I was in my teens then. It was horrific.
