Top Gorkha Leader Stabbed
Madan Tamang, president of the Akhil Bharatiya Gorkha League and a prominent proponent of Gorkhaland, was fatally stabbed with “khukris” (traditional curved knives), allegedly by supporters of the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha (GJM) in Darjeeling. May 2010.
