Tito Torbellino Shot Dead in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, May 29, 2014
Tomas Eduardo Tovar Rascon, the 33-year-old singer known as Tito Torbellino, was shot while eating lunch at Restaurante Red in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, on May 29, 2014. Contemporaneous accounts said two men dressed in black entered from Avenida Guerrero. One remained near the door while the other approached Torbellino and fired six 9 mm rounds, striking him in the head and body. He was taken toward a hospital in a Municipal Public Security vehicle but died in transit. Torbellino had traveled from Phoenix to perform at the Expo Obregon the following night. Sonora prosecutors later identified Carlos Montes Pacheco as the material author after ballistic tests linked his pistol to the killing. Police recovered the weapon after Montes Pacheco fatally shot Blanca Olivia Acosta Encinas at a private party on July 18, 2014, prosecutors said. A state police officer pursued and killed him. Montes Pacheco was therefore never prosecuted for Torbellino's death, no one else was charged, and authorities never established a motive.  · |

So he was a narcocoriddo. There is a documentary on Netflix called Narco-Cultura, it is about a rising star in the Narcocoriddo world called Las BukNas as well as Kommander. The music is very popular, go to Spotify or Pandora.
