to: taskiteplease and pigeon Yes, both of you are correct. It is in their culture to honor their passed-away edlers in that region. By doing so they believe their passed-aways could enter heaven. Come to think of it, except the part of actually having to do it yourself to your elder family members; I personally think sky burial is environmentally friendly. For you information, weeks later their youngs will reclaim the remaining bones from high lands. Interesting enough, in west we believe in dust to dust and earth to earth, they also share similar philosophy. |
