The problem is that there are now so many people (including you liberals out there) who are so removed from REAL death and destruction (not the playtime looking at pictures crap) that you don't know how NORMAL, healthy people deal with dead criminals and the enemy... LIKE THIS! If these guys were doing this over a child or a woman (call me old fashion) I'd vote for a flogging... but not for this. The only screw up they did was forget that clueless people will judge them.

My comments about the dishonor caused to our men and women in the Milatary were souly base on and related to the incidents which occured at the Abu grey prison camp where I suspect these images came from.
What happened there was wrong and reflected badly on us.
Once an enemy combatant is a prisoner or as here a dead body.
Our men and women need to behave as the professionals you and I know they were trained and expected to be.
This is not what happened here.

First off going to war should be your last option.
However once a situation has reached the point where the decission is made and you are on the field of battle you need to fight like it is a street fight.
The only rule being that your forces are the ones who walk off the field of battle alive.
Unfortunately you are also right the attitude or inerstrength needed to fight in this manner appears to have been lost by those in washington and the media.
I think this change started when we were in Viet Nam.
That was were you first started to see the news media reporting on civilian deaths and collateral damge.
what those same news media were not reporting then and most likely are not reporting now is how in a gurellia war the enemmy does just as you have said they blend in .
There was a saying in Viet Nam and it proved to be very ture .
The thing which determined if a local was south veitmanesse or NVC was who was paying better that day sad but true.
So based on the fact which we both agree on, which is if you are going to fight a war fight a total was and get it over with .
What do you think the chances are that Obama or anyone else in washington right now is going to have the balls to launch another Operation Torch light or approve carpet bombing as was done in Nam.
My bet is out of all the politicians who got us in to this mess not a one of them has the balls to give the order to allow our men and women to trully do what needs to be done to bring this to an end.
Because of this lack of Balls just as in Veit Nam the war will drag on costing far more lifes than if we would have just fought the damn thing all out and got it over with.
But we both know thats not going to happen .
It is because of this that now I just wish we could find a quick end to this mess and get our men and women home and out of harmes way.
You are right though Sir once a nation make the decision to go to war they must go in to it planing to fight it as a total war.
To do anything else is pure folly.

Thank you Eaton. I do agree that it is the same politicians who got us into this war that refuses to make the tough calls to end it.

When Desert Storm took place it was text book military operation. Use air strikes to take out strategic posts and cut off supply lines and then send in the ground forces.

This time is totally different and I said to my military comrades that we are doomed if they are going to wage a war this way as it was Vietnam all over again.

Unlike WWII where American and Allied violence was met with praise and positive media coverage you have the Liberal mentality taking over in Vietnam where they only focused on the poor victims and treated our soldiers like garbage.

The treatment of the soldiers is better this time around but the media would rather portray the evil Americans killing innocent civilians rather then a cowardly band of terrorists hiding amongst those same women and children.

No offense taken and I hope vice versa. Always good to have a civil intelligent conversation. Happy holidays to you and your family.
