Three armored cars of Federal Securities Transport Company were robbed in the late afternoon of Monday Dec 1, 2014.
According to information, about 10 heavily armed men with rifles and machine guns closed the highway using barricades. Security guards, who were inside the armored vehicles carrying money, tried to react and there was an intense exchange of fire. Three security guards died on the spot. The armored cars were totally destroyed, because the authors used explosives to break into the back of the trucks. The authors fled in a pickup truck and a passenger car. Also, according to information, all wore black clothing and were very well trained. The amount taken by the robbers was not yet disclosed. Assaults on armored cars in this region have turned routine. An air staff of the Military Police was triggered, but until press time no one had been arrested. The three victims had not been identified.
