He wasn't truly "moaning" with any pain or consciousness component.

You can get a similar sound mechanically generated through a bellows.

The sound is strictly mechanical and due to body size, weight, position, completely passive vocal cords characteristics and other factors contributing to resonant frequencies.

He is not 'moaning'.

It's actually closer to snoring.


It is only as if he were moaning.
