Burglaries had been a mounting problem in the area for weeks. House after house in a mid-sized town in Mexico had been broken into, pilfered of electronics and valuables, and then left in shambles. The local police seemed unable to address the situation, so the Neighborhood Watch banded together, with that special Mexican flair we all know and love.

Suburban Ranger #1 spotted a figure creeping around on the roof of ol' Pedro's house while Pedro and the family were away. He keeps his eagle eyes on the scene until he spots another interloper moving clandestinely around the back door. At that point, he calls in Suburban Ranger #2, who concurs with #1's assessment of skullduggery. #1 keeps watch while #2 gets out the ol' Rolodex of Rage and lights a burner under the other members of the vigilante protection group.

Before the sorry fucking thieves had left Pedro's penetrated castle, over one hundred (yes, ONE FUCKING HUNDRED) members of the Neighboorhood Watch had arrived on the scene. Fed up with malfeasance, inept policia, and brassy burglars, they came hard too. With bats, bricks, torches, metal pipes, a cattle prod, and a few hundred yards of rope.

They proceeded to round up the four perpetrators: two adult men, one teenage boy, and a woman. They tied them to a series of trees and went to work on the men with metal rods and bats while they zapped the woman with voltage from the cattle prod. When they were about to take the sticks to her, she begged them off by claiming pregnancy (the oldest trick in the book for a chubby broad to escape justice-used countless times over the years against vigilante mobs and judicial sentencing alike). Like the good Catholics they are, they listened. She was spared further pain aside from spitting and cursing.

The men in the group were not so lucky. They were stripped naked and beaten further, with liberal applications of both electricity and blunt force trauma to the frank and beans. The oldest one among them was properly hanged and was beaten further while strangling. he died on the scene and the other two were in critical condition.

The local constabulary, Senor Fife and Senor Keystone, attempted to intervene, but were beaten with rods and sticks. They ran off to get the local military force usually reserved for Cartel shootouts. The latter managed to calm the situation down before anyone else was killed.

Remember, amigos, crime does not pay! At least, not without proper Cartel backing.
