Re: Thailand - Man from USSR Found Dead
The Cyrillic on his personal documentation indicates he was born in Kazakhstan. The only reason it would state USSR is because he was born during the Soviet era. This practice is also common place for citizens born in Yugoslavia pre 1991. Many birth certificates will record a country of birth that no longer exists.
