I truly hate death! It is such a cruel, and ugly affair!

It’s a Thai thing. First responders are usually civilian volunteers and not professional EMTs like in the states. They often take pictures with the deceased as a matter of pride because they are doing something that is shunned by many people or thought of as taboo. The pointing, I understand, they got from looking at selfies in western cultures where people point at things to emphasize them. The only real difference is that western culture typically don’t take pictures with the dead. It’s considered tacky. But look at any number of western selfies and you’re bound to see people pointing at stupid and obvious shit. It’s just so engrained that when you see a picture of people standing around and pointing at a giraffe at a zoo you think nothing of it, it’s normal. But you see people pointing at a corpse and it stands out. It’s really not the pointing that bothers you, though, it’s the juxtaposition of a selfie or a group photo with a corpse. If you swapped the corpse out for any of the pointless shit westerners point at in their photos (Big Tex, the Hoover Dam, the Grand Canyon, a squirrel eating a nut) you wouldn’t bat an eye.

It cracks me up everytime but this photo with multiple finger pointing, just to make sure everyone knows what to look at, is hilarious.

Is one of the medical response team (called that?) about 10 years old ?

The dead dude was practicing the Thriller dance while riding his moped .. that's the real cause to his demise!

Nah, I'm different and I'd bat both eye lids. Dumb people pointing at the obvious in the centre of the picture is what fucking grates on me, no matter if they're pointing at a monkey a rock a gaping hole or a huge pile of shit. I can see

Re: Thailand - Man Died After Crashing His Motorbike

I notice that thai Paramedic personnel love to take pics of themselves and dead bodies, as if a downed prize hunt. All that's lacking here, is posed guns and one foot atop the corpse.
