Thailand - Elderly Monk Hanged Himself

On the evening of 18th February 2015 in Nakhon Pathom (Thailand), 66 year old P.P.T. was found dead.

The elderly monk had hanged himself inside his home. He had been suffering from an illness for a long time + had become deeply depressed.

We have something called Pulung Gantung here near where I live
The suicides were done by elderlies who long endured irreversible illnesses too

It looked like he hanged himself by some type of plastic band so his weight plus any struggle by the body probably stretched it to where, over a few minutes, his feet came into contact with the floor again. Note the chair turned over in one of the photos. Looks like he stood on that and then knocked it out from under himself to complete the suicide.
