A successful democracy that consists of 2 different warlords that have been at war for the last 20 years, with both of them siding with saddam when it benefitted them...... Our biggest friend in that region, and only NATO member is turkey. The Kurds have been trying to get a piece of turkey to add to what they gained in Iraq, and create a new nation.... In turkey they are considered terrorists.
Any support we give the Kurds further destabilizes the region.
Turkish Kurds are not the same as Sorani Kurds. Not saying it is the jewel of the middle east.
