Teresa Alcocer "Barbara Greco" Shot Dead in Ciudad Juarez, February 18, 2020
Teresa Aracely Alcocer, a 37-year-old radio presenter known on air as "Barbara Greco," was shot dead as she arrived at her home in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, on February 18, 2020. Unidentified gunmen attacked her in the El Barreal neighborhood, near the corner of Honduras and 20 de Noviembre streets. Alcocer worked for the radio station La Poderosa. Authorities did not name or detain any suspects during the initial investigation, and no motive was established. She had recently posted public comments condemning the killing of a 7-year-old girl in Mexico City and violence against women, but no connection to her killing was established. |
