Only a teenager.

She was discovered by her mother and older sister, who arrived home to see her dangling from the skylight crossbar by a yellow rope, as pictured. She used an aluminum ladder to climb up and then stepped off. There was virtually no drop whatsoever from the ladder, so the poor girl likely strangled in slow agony before her little body finally succumbed.

Her sister tried to cut the rope with a knife, but couldn't saw through it, so she and her mother worked together to free the younger girl and set her on the sofa.

Unfortunately, she was already long-dead and couldn't be saved.

No story at all, actually.

Both the mother and sister were absolutely puzzled by her actions. She showed no signs of being depressed, was doing well in school, had a boyfriend that wasn't giving her any trouble.

A complete mystery, especially for one so young.
I'm sure she had her private reasons, but I can't imagine they were worth it.

There are better ways to wind up at age 13 than cold, lifeless, and hanging from the ceiling soaked in your own urine.

I hate to see someone so young die but I will stop short of sympathy for such a selfish act. Her pain may be gone but the pain of her mother and sister will last a lifetime.
