Wow! At first I thought Georgetown, Cayman Islands. I was there and there is no sky scraper in the city. Of course, it is Penang City, Malaysia.

How do you fall from a glass walkway without climbing over the rails!?! Answer is: You don’t. You climb over and drop. That building is high enough to get 5 seconds of freefall with a BASE jump! |

Re: Teenager Fell from 68th Floor and Landed on Adjacent Roof
A lot of people seem to wonder what the 9/11 jumpers remains might have looked like - this seems to be a pretty good analog for that high of a fall. Of course, unlike the 9/11 jumpers, this guy did something mind-blowingly stupid and he paid the price. He might have been trying to balance on the rail for the ultimate selfie...there might be a shattered phone somewhere nearby. This reminds me of an incident a couple of years ago when a guy managed to go over the railing of the skywalk at the Grand Canyon and he fell several hundred feet. Makes you wonder about some people... |

Re: Teenager Fell from 68th Floor and Landed on Adjacent Roof
This guy crushed a ceiling which absorbed energy = probably less body explosion and splatter. Many of the 9-11 jumpers were hitting concrete or other hard surface and exploding. The picture of the Empire State Building suicide in the late 1940's, Evelyn Hale IIRC. She fell a similar distance, landed on a car, and the perhaps 18 inches of deformation of the car top left her body pretty much intact, ready for AndersVag
