Teenager Commits Suicide on the Way to School
This teenage girl told her parents goodbye and left for school in the morning. When she did not return home that afternoon, her parents called the police and began looking for her. The search party did not find anything, but some passersby in a copse of woods the opposite direction from her school did. She was discovered dead and hanging in a tree. There was no suicide note, but she had carved her name and the dates of her birth and death in the trunk of the tree. |

Almost like she was making her own tombstone. Looks like she's still wearing her backpack too. Seems odd to me that she'd keep it on. Guess that wasn't on the top of her mind at that moment though.

Re: Teenager Commits Suicide on the Way to School
I'm sorry, but it seems that kids and young people today aren't being taught to have some backbone; they aren't being taught the life skills needed to handle daily disappointments, hurts, putdowns, big or small. They aren't being taught to delay gratification, like saving up for something, instead of being handed everything to them as soon as it's wanted. They don't learn the value of anything, much less the value of a fucking dollar or god forbid, a life. If a boy dumps you, kill yourself. If a girl disses you, kill her, etc, ad nauseam. If somebody screws you on a drug deal, burn their house down and off the whole family. Whatever, I'm done. |

They are not allowed to grow up. Parents and societies keep teens in childhood instead of pushing them to grow up and make decisions. They need to be given more freedom to make mistakes and gain experience.
