The body of 18 year old Gabriella DX was found in the woods near Retalhuleu, GT. She had no ID on her and her cadaver was initially unable to be identified because her face and head had been smashed into unrecognizability with a large rock.

After two days of seeking help with her ID, police were finally able to connect with her family to inform them of the tragedy.

Currently there are no suspects or motives. There was no sexual assault recorded by forensics and it did not appear that her body had any other injuries. The presence of blood, bone, and brain tissue scattered around made it fairly clear that she was murdered on the spot and not killed elsewhere and then dumped.

She was wearing sweatpants and a pajama top and, while her body was found barefoot, one of her shoes was located nearby.

Brutal to die that young in such a way but according to neighbors, she had a drug distribution point in iher own residence, also the recently separated boyfriend also distributes drugs.

At the moment police think there are also two other hypotheses, either she was murdered for a land dispute or she was murdered for leaving her boyfriend.
